The Harbour Pointe Music Boosters Association
Harbour Pointe Music Boosters Association was established in 1993 to support the award winning music programs at Harbour Pointe Middle School. Each year approximately 450 6th, 7th & 8th Grade students participate in band, jazz band, choir and orchestra.
Harbour Pointe Music Boosters Association is comprised of parent volunteers and HPMS staff that coordinate activities, chaperone festivals/trips and host an annual gala dinner auction to raise funds. The money raised at this event benefit all music students participating in HPMS music programs.
This year, 2009-2010, HP Music Boosters contributed approximately $25,000 to the music programs at HPMS. These funds covered expenses not provided for in the school district budget such as festival fees, clinicians, sheet music, instrument, scholarships, transportation to competition and parades, administrative expenses, as well as a contribution towards out of state trips.
As parent volunteers, we are committed to supporting music education at HPMS because of the enrichment it brings to our children and our community. Each year, we witness rising costs and budget cuts at our school. In order to continue a tradition of excellence, we need the participation and support of all of our music families.
